3. Hosting and data processing on my behalf

This website is operated on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes personal data (e.g. IP addresses from server log files and technical access data) exclusively on my behalf as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place in data centres in Germany or the European Union. A data processing agreement is in place with Hetzner. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

Fonts, stylesheets and scripts of this website are delivered from this server; there is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font service.

4. Server log files

When you visit this website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically recorded in server log files:

• Browser type and browser version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address

This data is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Enquiries by email or phone

If you contact me by email or phone, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), is stored and processed for the purpose of handling it. I do not pass this data on without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for taking pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Processing for paid services

Purpose: I collect payment data to fulfil orders.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

Retention period: Data is stored in accordance with legal requirements (usually 6–10 years for accounting and tax purposes).

Provision: Voluntary, but required in order to provide the services.

7. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies. There is therefore no cookie notice either.

If you use the switch for the display mode (light or dark) in the header, the website remembers your choice in your browser's local storage. This value does not leave your device and is required for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

8. Reach measurement (Umami, self-hosted)

Purpose: Determining page views and referral sources in order to improve the offering.

Provider: None. The Umami software runs on a server I operate myself at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. No data is passed on to third parties and no data is transferred to third countries.

Cookies: None. Umami does not set cookies and does not store any information on your device. Consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG is therefore not required.

Data: The page visited, referrer, country-level origin, device type and browser are recorded. The IP address is processed solely to generate an anonymous daily identifier and is not stored. It is not possible to identify you personally.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a data-minimising analysis of reach).

10. SSL encryption

This website uses current encryption standards (SSL/HTTPS) to protect transmitted data.

11. Right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) on grounds relating to your particular situation. Objections will be taken into account unless compelling legitimate grounds for the processing prevail.

12. Privacy in the “ZenSwipe” app

The ZenSwipe app is used to sort photos locally on your device. The app is built so that no personal data is transferred to me or to third parties.

No data collection

• No user data is collected, stored or sent to servers.
• No tracking or analytics services are used.
• No advertising SDKs and no external data processing are used.

Local storage

ZenSwipe stores the sorting status (keep/delete), progress and history, and app settings (e.g. language) exclusively locally on your device. There is no synchronisation and no upload to a cloud.

Permissions

• Photos: read access to your photo library to display images for sorting. No photos are uploaded. Optionally, the app can manage albums if you allow it to.
• Haptics: for tactile feedback during interactions (no access to personal data).

13. Changes to this privacy policy

I reserve the right to update this privacy policy to comply with legal requirements or to reflect changes to my services.
